Farmers Elevator Receives Matching Funds to Support Local FFA

As a part of their commitment to rural communities where Land O'Lakes, Inc. members, employees and facilities are located, the Land O' Lakes Foundation is pleased to match donations made by member cooperatives which help enhance the quality of life in their local communities.  The Farmers Elevator & Exchange Company is a member cooperative of Land O' Lakes and contributed recently to the Monroe City FFA to help fund a delegation to join over 2,300 FFA members who will attend the National FFA Organization's Washington Leadership Conference. Focus of the conference will be to take the leadership skills of these members to the highest level by learning to know their purpose, value people, take action and serve others.  As a result of the 2010 Member Cooperative Match program made available by the Land O' Lakes Foundation, a matching fund contribution of $300 was made available to the Monroe City FFA by the Farmers Elevator & Exchange Co.
